Training
Whatever training you choose you can be sure that it will be tailored to suit the needs of your individual organisation or educational institution. A meeting or telephone conversation can be be arranged to discuss what you would like to achieve and ensure that the provision suits your requirements.
Course content will be adapted to suit the aims and objectives of your particular mentoring or coaching scheme, whether that is to manage talent or support those who are under-performing. Age ranges of all the participants will also be taken into account and all resources can be personalised and contain your own logo etc if required.
For young people or pupils a one day training programme is recommended, but for adults wishing to obtain the basic skills of mentoring and coaching a minimum of two days is preferable for non-accredited training. After this time participants will be prepared for the role, and then a third day would be beneficial after they have had the opportunity to practice the skills. The third day would comprise of mentor or coach supervision and the introduction of additional mentoring and coaching tools and techniques.
Each participant will be provided with everything they need to conduct their mentoring or coaching sessions. This would include handbooks, mentor or coach toolkits, contact logs and if required, reflective learning logs that will enable the coaches or mentors to continue developing their skills long after the training has ended. This also enables a sustainable programme to be developed within your organisation.
Being an experienced trainer with a strong theoretical knowledge of the subject area and having personally practised the techniques for many years the knowledge is imparted in an engaging, challenging but enjoyable way.
